A Day in the Life
- Assists with setting and following the Automation Quality guiding principles for delivering the projects
- Leads and guides project QA Automation members to ensure they are acting as liaisons within their teams and spreading Automation best practices
- Reviews and supports the development of Automation Test Plans, SIT/UAT and regression testing guidelines and provides training to team members with varying levels of Skills
- Design/Architect test automation framework and develop the new test automation libraries leveraging Selenium, robot Framework
- Decision making on Automation Testing framework upgrades with the latest technology
- Produce spreadsheets, slide presentations, graphs, and other materials as requested by the Project Managers/ IT leadership to demonstrate project progress
- Implement Automated testing for all the work streams to improve the overall testing cycle.
- Partner with and influence indirectly offshore resources to accomplish work
- Analyze product features and specifications, then document test strategy plans & test cases
- Liaise with internal teams (developers, UI/UX, product managers/owners) to identify system test requirements
- Identify, record, and track bugs / defects
- Develop and apply testing processes for existing products to meet client needs
- Challenge status quo, and recommend improvements in software to enhance the user experience
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies/ Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new Automated testing knowledge into the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT related field
- 6+ years of experience in automation testing
- 4+ years of experience with: Robot Framework, Python, Salesforce Automation, Java, Jenkins, Git, TestNG
- Experience with leading offshore resources preferred
- Experience in building E2E automated tests for different platforms
- Experience in designing & building test harnesses for automation testing
- Experience in designing, developing, reviewing & executing regression test pack using frontend & backend test scripts
- Experience in designing, developing, and reviewing the automated solution for sanity testing for various repeatable tests
- Ability to utilize appropriate testing automation tools for both front-end and back-end quality assurance automated testing
- Team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written) to partner technically with Application Architects, Development, QA/Testing organizations and Business teams
- Strong problem-solving skills including ability to disseminate complex ideas in a simplified fashion
- Experience with industry standard QA practices (black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices)
- Experience in developing or influencing the development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level functional and regression testing is preferable
