Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
This is a hybrid position with a requirement to work in-person at the office, 3 days per week.
Role Description
The Project Manager will lead the deployment of a new CRM system to enhance student engagement and streamline administrative processes. This role involves managing project execution, coordinating stakeholders, and overseeing business process redesign for admissions, recruitment, and case management. Additionally, the Project Manager will support the implementation of an integrated service delivery model by establishing governance, training, and operational processes. Collaborating with leadership, IT teams, and external vendors, the ideal candidate will have expertise in CRM systems, higher education operations, and change management.
- Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones to deliver the CRM implementation phases on time and within budget.
- Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with program/project teams, Students Division departments, IT, and external partners to define project objectives and success criteria.
- Collaborate with the Business Lead to support effective project communications between program/project teams, managing expectations and addressing concerns promptly.
- Develop training and communication plans to support user adoption and engagement.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the CRM implementation.
- Troubleshoot issues, escalate as needed, and develop solutions to keep the project on track.
- Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, risks, and resolutions.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and users to assess satisfaction and identify future needs.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and lessons learned for future projects.
- Required Skills and Experience
- 5-9 years of experience working on software implementation projects, including CRM’s
- Familiarity with a Banner ERP environment is a strong asset
- Experience working with cross-functional teams ranging from senior leadership to operational staff
- Familiarity with and understanding of the post-secondary setting in the public sector
