We have an opening for an experienced Project Coordinator. The successful candidate brings strong project planning skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, highly developed interpersonal communications skills, and is highly organized.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project support and coordination to help ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
  • Effectively communicate with all project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain accurate project tracking and data entry.
  • Create and update project schedules.
  • Support cost estimates and cost controlling for all project services, including project invoicing.
  • Support quality management program throughout project lifecycle.
  • Support reporting and evaluation of project financial outcomes at completion.
  • Project administration, including timely performance of administrative tasks to initiate, monitor progress, close, bill and archive project files digitally.
  • Provide support for the development of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and other proposal requests.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, project management, or accounting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, which include the ability to prepare reports, format documents, and draft official letters and correspondence.
  • Ability to work within a deadline-oriented team environment, to prioritize work, and to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working in the electric utility, or a related engineering/construction environment would be an asset.
  • Experience with electric utility project estimating and project management would be an asset.

A Few Qualifications That Would Help You Succeed

  • Previous knowledge of and experience with of utility design standards would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with GIS Mapping and SAP would be considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of vegetation management would be considered an asset.
