Your role

 

Join our team as a Team Lead with the Atlantic team.

 

As a Team Lead at Colliers Project Leaders, you are the cornerstone of our Enterprise Track leadership development, responsible for nurturing aspiring leaders and guiding them in both people and business leadership skills. You provide steadfast leadership, inspiration, and management support to a team of practitioners, empowering them to define their career goals, enhance their skills, and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

 

  • You will develop and contribute to the annual business plan and budget for your team and the Business Unit (BU).
  • You will achieve 15% annual growth in sales and fee income for your team, while training and developing them to generate cross-selling opportunities and establishing a culture of account management. Collaborate with Business Development (BD) to drive growth in the local market.
  • You will implement and foster a culture of quality within your team, escalating any issues requiring additional support from Professional Practice Leaders.
  • You will demonstrate our values as a role model, motivate and empower your team to exceed goals, coach for skill enhancement, and maintain a strong community presence for brand engagement.

 

  • A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience leading teams of project managers or other practitioners in the delivery of professional services, with a proven track record in closing new business and mentoring employees.
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including strong presentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of influencing teams and effectively resolving client, project, and resource management issues.
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset.

Success Measures

  • Demonstrate and embody our organizational values and cultural behaviors, serving as a role model and influencer within the team.
  • Build, lead, and grow a team that manages a book of business generating $1-1.5 million in fee income.
  • Ensure projects delivered by the team achieve a Net Promoter Score (NPS) ≥ 70, reflecting high client satisfaction.
  • Exhibit effective resource management, including team development, people leadership responsibilities, and project resourcing, demonstrated by an employee turnover rate ≤ 15% and meeting the benchmark engagement score.
