- Community Outreach and Marketing:
- Lead targeted marketing initiatives within the local community.
- Represent the retirement home at community events, fairs, and seminars.
- Conduct presentations, tours and host meetings for targeted community partners, potential residents and their families.
- Sales and Leasing Support:
- Engage with prospective residents and families, understanding their needs and showcasing the benefits of our retirement home.
- Support the Retirement Living Consultant in the leasing process, ensuring all documentation and agreements are properly executed.
- Integration of New Residents:
- Execute and oversee the Welcome to Chartwell program tailored for ethnic residents.
- Collaborate and work with the programming team to ensure the lifestyle and activities align with the preferences and cultural nuances of the ethnic community.
- Plan and facilitate culturally specific activities, programs, holidays and events for the ethnic residents in the home and their families.
- Regularly communicate with new residents to ensure their smooth transition and satisfaction.
- Partnership Development:
- Identify and engage with organizations and associations in the local community to foster mutually beneficial relationships which drive quality referrals.
- Develop and nurture relationships, exploring collaboration opportunities to raise the profile of our retirement home.
- Organize joint events and programs with partner organizations to foster community integration.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager for the region
- Feedback and Reporting:
- Gather feedback from residents and the larger community to continually refine and improve our offerings and integration processes.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on outreach efforts, resident satisfaction and partnership developments.
Education:
- Post Secondary education in Marketing, Community Development, Public Relations or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in community engagement, sales or a related role.
- Experience planning, developing, and executing marketing business plans and programs.
- Ability to proficiently speak, read, and write in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese strongly preferred.
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to the needs of the Chinese elderly community.
- Deep and respectful understanding of Chinese culture including values and traditions.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about community engagement and integration.
- Highly motivated, proactive and results driven.
- Proficient in working with computers.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and programs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Needs a driver's license/access to vehicle
