Shift Supervisor

Reporting to the Melt Shop Superintendent, your focus will be to ensure routine management efforts are followed and opportunities for improvement in processes, products and productions within the Melt Shop department are identified.

Duties Will Include

• Conducting needs assessments, operational audits
• Coaching of operations and supervisory personnel on the production / quality improvement programs, 5S improvements
• Achieving cost control and environmental control goals
• Development of preventative maintenance processes and correct procedures for safety management
• Assisting with all training efforts in the department.
  
  

Our Successful Candidate Should Possess

• A bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Engineering or other related field (preferred)
• Experience working in a steel manufacturing or Melt Shop environment (preferred)
• Strong leadership and superviosry skills
• Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Abiltiy to work in a fast paced and physically demanding envirornment
