Some of what you will do:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager of online Marketplaces to join our team at Staples Canada company. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our online marketplace strategy, enhancing our presence across various platforms, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of e-commerce trends & operations, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing online marketplaces.
Specifically, You Will
- Ensure seamless operations and optimal marketplace performance.
- Set competitive pricing strategies, manage promotions and discounts within marketplace.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to align marketplace operations with overall business objectives.
- Advise on cost savings opportunities within operations.
- Analyze marketplace performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Setup processes, tools and communication that will ensure every product launched has meaningful impact to customers.
- Develop and improve processes associated to operations in marketplace fulfillment, SEO and other areas involved in marketplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; post-graduate and/or MBA preferred.
- Working knowledge of web site structure and functionality.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce software and platforms.
- Strong online analytics skills using tools like Adobe, Google analytics.
- Strong understanding of online marketplace dynamics, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, tools, and analytics software.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail or e-commerce, with a focus on online / B2B marketplaces.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market share in a retail environment.
