Regional Geriatric Program of Southwestern Ontario

Salary Range: $53.51 - $62.96 /hour
The Consultant, Quality Improvement and Evaluation will play a key role in developing and implementing evaluation and quality improvement activities to support the Regional Geriatric Program of Southwestern Ontario (RGPSWO), facilitating the utilization of evaluation measures and quality improvement methodologies across regional initiatives. The work of this role will model evidence-based evaluation practices and foster the adoption of evaluation frameworks to inform quality improvement cycles. A key function of the role will be to support the collection and utilization of data to inform quality improvement activities within multiple teams across the region providing care to older adults with frailty. The Consultant, Quality Improvement and Evaluation will also work closely with provincial Evaluation and Quality Improvement colleagues.
This position will work closely with the rest of the Regional Geriatric Program of Southwestern Ontario team to fulfill provincial and regional objectives and will report to the Coordinator of Regional Initiatives of the Regional Geriatric Program of Southwestern Ontario.

Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Sciences, Business or a related field
- 2 years in healthcare sector with a focus on Quality Improvement and/or Program Evaluation
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Experience in leading/participating in program evaluation/research projects
- Ability to lead program evaluation projects
- Proven ability to lead quality improvement projects, with competency in teaching/coaching others and in implementing QI tools
- Training in lean methodology
- Training in project management
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft office, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written (including report writing) and verbal communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy with varied groups of stakeholders, including frontline staff, physicians, administrators
- Experience in engaging and facilitating work with diverse groups of stakeholders including patients, families, front-line staff and physicians
- Highly competent and effective presentation and meeting facilitation skills including the ability to present and discuss complex information in a way that enables and establishes rapport, persuades and influences others and gains understanding
- Demonstrated understanding of performance measurement and program evaluation skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative and perform will in stressful environments
- Superior analytical, interpretive and communication skills
- Proven organizational skills with the ability manage multiple projects and constantly adjust priorities Demonstrated experience in adult education, with a solid understanding of adult education principles
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
