Situé à Varennes, UL Laboratoire Canada inc. est un laboratoire d’essais spécialisé dans l’évaluation des performances des composantes de l’enveloppe du bâtiment. Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’un stagiaire en génie pour se joindre à notre équipe.

À partir du bureau de Varennes et sous la supervision du directeur du laboratoire, le ou la stagiaire en génie participera à l’ingénierie d’un banc d’essai automatisé pour réalisation d’essais d’étanchéité à l’air, de résistance à la pénétration d’eau et de performance structurale.

Located in Varennes, UL Laboratory Canada Inc. is a testing laboratory specializing in the evaluation of the performance of building envelope components. We are currently looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team.

From the Varennes office and under the supervision of the laboratory director, the engineering intern will participate in the engineering of an automated test bench for airtightness, water penetration resistance and structural performance tests.

Responsibilities

Principales responsabilités et activités :

• Automatiser la réalisation d’essais normalisés sur des composantes de l’enveloppe du bâtiment (acquisition de données et contrôle de pression par PID pour essais d’étanchéité à l’air, de résistance à la pénétration d’eau et de performance structurale);
• Programmation LabVIEW des améliorations proposées (formation au besoin);
• Sélection de matériel et des instruments selon les modifications proposées;
• Assurer la répétabilité des essais;
• Mise en service et perfectionnement.

Profil requis. Vos atouts pour réussir :

• Étudiant en génie de la production automatisée; ou autre domaine du génie avec compétences techniques suffisantes;
• Connaissances et intérêts dans le domaine de l’automatisation, particulièrement en acquisition de données et en contrôle;
• Connaissances et intérêts dans le domaine de la programmation;
• Poste impliquant une composante de travail manuel au besoin.
• Connaissance de LabVIEW ou Simulink un atout;
• Français et anglais.
  
  

Key responsibilities and activities:

• Automate the performance of standardized tests on building envelope components (data acquisition and pressure control by PID for airtightness, water penetration resistance and structural performance tests);
• LabVIEW programming of proposed enhancements (training as needed);
• Selection of equipment and instruments according to the proposed modifications;
• Ensure repeatability of tests;
• Commissioning and refinement.

Profile required. Your assets for success:

• Student in Automated Production Engineering; or other field of engineering with sufficient technical skills;
• Knowledge and interests in the field of automation, particularly in data acquisition and control;
• Knowledge and interests in the field of programming;
• Position involving a manual work component as required.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW or Simulink an asset;
