We are looking for a full time Sprinkler Fitter , with previous oil and gas experience, who will complete daily work orders; minor work notifications and minor maintenance of building facilities are completed and documented. The job duties for the Sprinkler Fitter include responding to service requests from building occupants, complete routine maintenance, perform planned inspections, co-ordinate with other Colleagues, and perform work as directed by the Sprinkler-Fitter Lead and on-site Supervisor.
The normal shift schedule consists of 14 consecutive days of work followed by 14 days off.

Main Job Responsibilities
- Compete work orders and minor work request on a daily basis.
- Ensure follow up by designated personnel when permits are complete.
- Use SAP for processing new work notifications and managing open notifications.
- Complete routine maintenance and inspections on Sprinkler equipment, tools and systems.
- Complete regular Hydrant glycol inspections and repairs.
- Assist with the co-ordination of work by contractors on projects.
- Perform minor maintenance functions for all fire alarm equipment.
- Identify problems and provide the service within defined timelines.
- Provide information to close service request and record comments for future reference.
- Verify work completion after permits are returned.
- Inspect new installations and renovations to ensure compliance with the scope of work and all applicable standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required by the Sprinkler-Fitter Lead and Supervisor.
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building operations and maintenance.
- Ability to effectively identify and solve building related problems.
- Ability to read and understand building floor plans and design drawings.
- Must be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep tools and work area tidy.
- Strong computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), SAP, and email.
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction.
- Demonstrate flexibility responding to emergencies and rapidly changing needs.
- Strong understanding of OHS regulations and procedures.
- Strong customer service skills and abilities
- Minimum of five years oil and gas based Sprinkler Fitter experience.
- Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter Journeypersons Certificate
- Understanding of fire alarm systems, products, service, and design; knowledge of construction industry and familiarity with local and national fire codes is required.*
- Training in WHMIS, Confines Space Entry, Fall Protection and AWP would be an asset.
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- Completion of OSSA and CSTS trainings.
