Job Summary:
The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. This position is focused on providing a broad range of duties to support the team with administration, recruitment and provide back up to reception when needed. Working within a small HR team, the right candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality work, with a “roll up your sleeves” kind of attitude.

The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. This position is focused on providing a broad range of duties to support the team with administration, recruitment and provide back up to reception when needed. Responsibilities:
- Ensures that current and archived employee files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures
- Processes, verifies, and maintains documentation relating to new hires and off-boarding of employees
- Manages staff change documentation and processing
- Supports and assists in the recruitment processes, including posting and file management; occasional full cycle recruitment
- Responds to employee inquiries and helps staff understand HR policies, practices and procedures
- Assists with the implementation of services, policies, and programs
- Prepares various correspondence, including employment verification letters
- Monitors employee certification and training compliance and sends notifications as required
- Prepares HR reports upon request
- Assists with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR department
- Support Reception by providing back up when needed
- Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years of administrative experience; within an HR department considered to be an asset
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures
- Proven ability to develop effective relationships across all levels of the organization
- Adaptability to set and prioritize work and meet critical deadlines
- Ability to work with diverse personalities and styles
- Exercise good judgment and confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to read, understand and review documents for accuracy and relevant information
- Effective, clear, and precise communication skills – written, verbal and through presentations
- Computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); HRIS (Ceridian Dayforce preferred)
- Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment, business writing, and techniques of proper phone etiquette
- Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions
- A deep understanding of customer service in an office environment
- Post-Secondary Education
- Shared Office
- Must be okay sitting infront of a computer
