The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) seek a highly creative and digitally savvy Digital Content & Design Specialist to lead the team’s content strategy, visual identity, and digital storytelling efforts across all platforms.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping the online voice and visual presence of one of Canada's fastest-growing pro basketball teams. From game-day hype to behind-the-scenes storytelling, you'll bring the Honey Badgers' brand to life in a way that captures attention, builds community, and delivers value to fans and partners alike.
- Develop and execute a season-long digital content strategy aligned with brand tone, team objectives, and fan engagement goals.
- Define and maintain the visual identity of the Honey Badgers across all digital assets, ensuring consistency and creativity in design.
- Design dynamic, on-brand graphics for social media, web, print, and in-venue use (player features, game previews, score updates, merchandise promos, etc.).
- Shoot and edit engaging video content including hype videos, post-game recaps, player profiles, partnership activations, and docuseries-style storytelling.
- Lead content creation and production on Media Day and throughout the season for player and team visuals.
- Plan, schedule, and publish social media content across all major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).
- Stay ahead of social trends and use insights to grow audience engagement and fan interaction.
- Launch and manage digital campaigns for ticketing, merchandise, community initiatives, and theme nights.
- Collaborate with the business development team to bring partner campaigns to life through custom graphics, videos, and social media integrations.
- Support branded content execution including in-game elements, giveaways, and announcement posts.
- Manage and update the official team website, ensuring timely and relevant content is live for fans, media, and partners.
- Own the execution of Mailchimp email campaigns – including game-day reminders, ticket promotions, and newsletters.
- Provide real-time coverage during home games, including content capture, live posting, and in-the-moment storytelling.
- Create and share post-game graphics and recap content within tight turnarounds.
- Support off-court events, team appearances, and community activations with digital content coverage.
- Post-secondary education in digital media, graphic design, communications, marketing, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in content creation, social media, and design—sports, entertainment, or lifestyle brand experience is a major asset.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Experience in content production from concept to publish – including graphic design, photography, video editing, and copywriting.
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, web CMS platforms, and social media management tools.
- A deep understanding of platform-specific best practices and emerging social media trends.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling, branding, and fan-first experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the season.
- Experience producing or editing docuseries-style content or mini-documentaries
- Motion graphics and animation skills
- A love of basketball, pop culture, and sports culture in general
- Minimal experience with AI softwares and design
