Client Service Specialist

How does the role impact the organization?

As a Client Service Specialist at our Waterloo branch, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional client experiences and supporting our advisors.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Account openings – confirm with the client; following through with signatures and process with back office;
  • Ensure all clients’ accounts are up-to-date;
  • Execute client trades with utmost accuracy and ensuring timely settlement;
  • Client communication – daily, by telephone and written communication;
  • Administer account statements – monthly, by email;
  • Commission reconciliation and interest rate calculations;
  • Liaise with corporate back office to complete client inquires and requests;
  • Anticipate and identify potential complications and finding appropriate solutions;
  • Work as part of the team to meet client service requests;
  • Monthly reporting to the team; and
  • Social media marketing, monitoring and posting.

What do we expect from you?

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness and ability to learn new applications;
  • Verbal, written and interpersonal communication with both clients and colleagues;
  • Proficient in Quantitative analysis and adept in problem-solving;
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent attention to details; and
  • The ability to prioritize, multitask, work within time constraints and follow-up.

Education And Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration; and
  • Experience with Dataphile and Maximizer is an asset.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Investment Representative licensing, including the successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook, is required; or
  • Willingness to pursue the IR Licensing within 12 months of joining
