Description

Allnorth is seeking skilled Commissioning Electricians to join our commissioning team on a project for a large industrial electrical construction project in Regina Saskatchewan.

This Role Involves

  • Inspection, and verification of electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, motors, control panels, and lighting systems.
  • Conduct continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and loop checks to ensure electrical integrity.
  • Perform megger tests, hipot tests, and grounding system verifications.
  • Work with instrumentation and control teams to ensure proper integration of electrical and automation systems.
  • Execute function tests of motor control circuits, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and power distribution.
  • Ensure proper wiring, terminations, and cable management according to electrical drawings and standards.
  • Provide electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis during start-up.
  • Support power distribution systems, load balancing, and equipment energization.
  • Assist in the testing and calibration of protective relays and circuit breakers.
  • As a successful applicant, you will be part of a professional team committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

  • Shift: 14 days on / 7 days off; 10-hour shifts per day
  • LOA & Travel Allowance: Provided

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician Certificate
  • Must be registered with the applicable Apprenticeship Board
  • Proven experience in industrial electrical work
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation techniques in an industrial setting
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems
  • Own electrical hand tools
  • Ability to work away from home on a rotational basis (14 days on, 7 days off)
  • Valid certifications: CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, and Aerial/Elevated Work Platform (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to site safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation to the job site (where applicable)
  • Computer skills are necessary, with proficiency in Bluebeam for redlining drawings. While experience with Bluebeam is not a disqualifier, candidates with the ability to use this software will have an advantage in completing project tasks efficiently.
