Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Junior SDET with strong proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript and keen attention to detail for rigorous testing. The ideal candidate should have some exposure to the finance sector, demonstrating an understanding of its unique testing requirements. A proactive and meticulous approach to ensuring software quality is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and maintaining UI automation tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
  • Collaborating with developers and other QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs or issues found during testing.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in TypeScript: The candidate should have a strong understanding of TypeScript, including its syntax, features, and best practices.
  • UI Automation: Demonstrable experience in UI automation testing using Playwright is required. Candidates should be able to create, maintain, and execute UI tests efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Testing Frameworks: Understanding of testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha is preferred.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git is essential for collaboration and code management.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in software testing or development, particularly in the context of QA engineering.
  • Experience with Playwright and TypeScript
  • A willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies is crucial. The candidate should be proactive in expanding their skills and knowledge in the field of QA engineering.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within the team and communication of testing results and issues.
  • The ability to analyze complex problems and produce effective solutions
  • Advanced level attention to detail to identify potential issues or bugs in the software
  • Self-driven with a willingness to reach out for assistance as required. You want to get it done yourself but recognize when it’s time to reach out to your team to assist.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience or certifications may also be considered.
