Safe Software is looking for a Pre-Sales Solutions Team Lead I to join our Pre-Sales Solutions team. As a Pre-Sales Solutions Team Lead, you will lead and support the team in assisting potential customers during their evaluation process, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to adopt our platform. You will also play a key role in refining pre-sales strategies and fostering collaboration with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams.

Within this team, the Pre-Sales Solutions group plays a crucial role in guiding potential customers through their evaluation journey, ensuring they have the confidence and technical knowledge to make informed decisions. Team members collaborate cross-functionally to tackle challenges, share knowledge, and stay at the forefront of data technology trends. They work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Development teams to provide product demonstrations, technical guidance, and customer insights that shape the future of our platform.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Pre-Sales Solutions Team Lead I, you will:
- Lead and support the Pre-Sales Solutions team to ensure they meet their objectives.
- Set team goals, conduct 1-on-1 check-ins, provide coaching, and deliver frequent feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer evaluation experience.
- Review and refine knowledge base content, focusing on the new user experience.
- Identify process improvements to better support prospective customers.
- Communicate regularly with leadership to align on strategy and team goals.
- Collect and analyze metrics to track team performance and measure success.
- Work with Sales to provide product demonstrations and answer prospective customer inquiries.
- Prioritize and triage incoming pre-sales requests, ensuring timely responses.
- Support hiring efforts by defining role requirements, conducting interviews, and onboarding new team members.
- Work closely with Sales to understand customer requirements and provide pre-sales guidance.
- Participate in scoping calls with potential customers.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations of the FME platform.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to share customer feedback and insights. Build relationships with the Development team to advocate for product improvements.
- Assist Sales in addressing technical questions from prospective customers.
- Partner with Customer Success and Customer Education teams to improve onboarding experiences.
- Contribute to the user community by sharing solutions through blog posts, knowledge articles, and webinars.
Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with a diversity in skills and knowledge. That said, we find that those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following areas.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in a pre-sales or technical customer-facing role.
- 3-5+ years of experience working with technical products in a customer service or pre-sales capacity.
- 2+ years of leadership or mentorship experience (or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to change and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for continuous learning and innovation.
- Experience with technical sales, software demonstrations, or customer onboarding.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members.
