A Snapshot of Your Day

As an HR Advisor at Trench Canada Instrument Transformers, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the production workforce and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the manufacturing environment. Your role will encompass a wide range of HR generalist duties, providing HR solutions to support the production team, and spearheading recruitment efforts for the production workforce. Additionally, you will work closely with the management team to implement strategic initiatives and positive changes in the company's policies and procedures where necessary.

Your Tasks:

  • Manage all aspects of HR for the production workforce and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production management team to establish robust HR systems and processes.
  • Spearhead recruitment efforts for the production workforce, ensuring the timely and efficient onboarding of new employees.
  • Oversee time and attendance tracking for the production workforce to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Offer HR solutions to promote a positive work environment and address issues such as absenteeism, employee concerns and grievances.
  • Administer benefits payments and process short disability claims.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and production supervisors regarding HR forms, collective bargaining agreements (CBA), and policies.
  • Collaborate with the production management team to align HR strategies with production objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain, analyze and report data in the HRIS to ensure accuracy and form HR strategies effectively.
  • Work closely with the management team to identify areas for improvement in company policies and procedures and actively participate in implementing positive changes.
  • Participate in global initiatives and apply strategic approaches to HR functions to align with organizational goals.
  • Provide support to the HR Business Partners (HRBP) to ensure smooth HR operations.


Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Completed college or university education, with a focus on HR being ideal.
  • Pursuing or having completed the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Knowledge of labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, and labor law compliance.
  • Ability to adapt HR strategies to the unique needs of the production workforce.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and HR analytics to provide insights and guide decision-making.
