The City Dispatcher (Night Shift) position is responsible for overseeing all City Dispatch and Customer Service activity for their assigned shift in the Night Operations department. The focus of the Night Operations is the identification and resolution of all non-routine or time-sensitive issues that arise after regular business hours. The Night Operations staff must display sound judgment and involve other operations staff in the resolution process, as they deem necessary. Must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • The identification and resolution of all non-routine and time-sensitive issues that occur after regular business hours. You must prioritize each situation (emergency, non-routine, routine) and respond accordingly. The response may require immediate action and involvement of other parties. Areas of responsibility includes Dispatch and Customer Service.
  • Management of all after-hours satellite, telephone, and in-person communications for multiple city and highway fleets.
  • Manage all incoming inquiries and provide excellent customer service according to company standards.
  • Reporting and documenting of all after-hours activity for customer service, planning and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel.

This position is subject to a modified shift schedule, hours of work are 18:00 - 06:00 MST. Availability to work weekends is required.
