The Procurement Specialist is responsible for collaborating with Procurement Managers on a multitude of Procurement projects ranging from RFXs, contract management reviews and other supply chain management initiatives.

Summary
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for collaborating with Procurement Managers on a multitude of Procurement projects ranging from RFXs, contract management reviews and other supply chain management initiatives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Delivery
- Engages stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Develops and recommends strategic plans for Manager review
- Implements strategic plans
- Assist in the development and recommendation of sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients.
- Assist with the implementation of the sourcing strategy
- Identify cost improvement opportunities for assessment.
- Achieves improvements in operational efficiencies and cost savings as a result
- Support the execution of end-to-end competitive bid process for strategic plans
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers
- Develops, implements, amends and monitors supplier contractual agreements
- Maintains in-depth and current category knowledge as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends
- Provides category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise
- Reviews and approves vendor set up requests and vendor information changes
- Perform Anti-Bribery and Corruption due diligence
- Reviews requests and process purchase orders
- Prepare, send and file Purchase Orders on a daily basis meeting established quality standards.
- Responsible for daily maintenance of existing Purchase Orders.
- Utilize standard templates for all strategic sourcing activity including but not limited to RFx templates, contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements
- Ensure adherence to Company Policies, Processes and Work Instructions
- Support Procurement team members as required
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices. Maintains current knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to assist in the development and execution of supplier contract agreements
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Office applications. Ability to quickly learn proprietary databases
- Ability to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders
- Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline
- Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers
- Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
- High degree of business ethics and accountability
- High degree of client service orientation
- Possesses a team spirit and strong collaboration
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Tenacity to overcome challenges to deliver on commitments
- Good English communication skills both verbal and written
- Facilities Management/ Property Management experience, an asset
- Partial or full completion of Supply Chain Management Professional Designation from Purchasing Management Association of Canada, or equivalent, an asset
