High School Math & Science Teacher/Tutor/Coach Wanted
Are you passionate about mathematics and science? Does the challenge of helping students develop their skills in these subjects excite you?
Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part-time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Math & Science Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role in supporting students in grades 9-12. This role is in-person so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 / hour

As a Math & Science Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role in supporting students in grades 9-12. This role is in-person so you must be able to commute to this location. Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Teaching up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies
- Providing personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology
- Filling out post-lesson notes and communicating student progress
- Maintaining a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Strong math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high school curriculum
- Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work with students at different levels
- Part-time hours, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings 4-7 pm
