Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and managing the planning, reporting, and analytical tools and processes necessary to successfully support business leaders. This position will provide operational and financial data analytics for optimizing current business segments, as well as financial projections. The Senior Financial Analyst ensures that accurate financial results are reported for Branch Operations, that sound business acumen and key financial targets are applied to decisions, and that controls are in place to ensure the integrity of reported results and safeguard the assets of Bayshore HealthCare Ltd.
Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and managing the planning, reporting, and analytical tools and processes necessary to successfully support business leaders. This position will provide operational and financial data analytics for optimizing current business segments, as well as financial projections. The Senior Financial Analyst ensures that accurate financial results are reported for Branch Operations, that sound business acumen and key financial targets are applied to decisions, and that controls are in place to ensure the integrity of reported results and safeguard the assets of Bayshore HealthCare Ltd.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Business Partnering with Regional and Area Directors (Business Leads)
- Provide financial and operational analysis to inform financial outcomes and highlight any ongoing opportunities/risks.
- Provide analysis required for data-driven and informed decision-making.
- Work with Business Leads:
- To set and track KPIs, provide decision support by taking ownership for forward-thinking business planning, ongoing line of business information analysis, competitive and industry trend analysis, business metrics analysis, and overall business performance evaluation.
- To provide financial support and expertise in pricing decisions for new businesses and contract renewals.
- Develop Budgets and Financial Outlook
- Responsible for the end-to-end planning process, including working collaboratively with operational leaders to understand business priorities and properly interpret the financial impact.
- Present the planning to divisional leaders and highlight any potential risks/opportunities.
- Prepare SLT and Board presentation material.
- Work with Business Leads and Financial leaders to further develop revenue and cost drivers' approach to planning.
- Financial Reporting & Business Performance Analytics
- Responsible for variance and business analysis, and period-end packages (Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-end).
- Communicate and present financial results to both SLT and Business Leads. Must be able to interpret the needs of the group and present concise data to meet those needs. Comfort around senior management is a key skill set.
- Analyze and identify root causes of key variances. Take ownership in reaching out to Business Leads to provide recommendations on next steps.
- Other Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial reporting and that compliance requirements are met.
- Deliver results in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Responsible for notifying the immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
- Post-Secondary Degree.
- Accounting designation (CPA) or at minimum, candidate close to earning their designation.
- 3+ years’ FP&A experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills required to deliver various objectives in a decentralized structure.
- Capacity to build partnerships, work collaboratively, and effectively communicate with diverse groups both within and external.
- A self-starter who is not afraid to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite modules.
- Experience working with Vena, Microsoft NAV, etc. is an asset.
