Summary
AGAT Laboratories is hiring for an entry-level Laboratory Technician, working out of our Gas and Condensate Lab in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a Full time Permanent position where you will be part of a small team of analysts that will require one to be adaptable and willing to assume new responsibilities and tasks as required.

Summary
AGAT Laboratories is hiring for an entry-level Laboratory Technician, working out of our Gas and Condensate Lab in Grande Prairie, Alberta. What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare samples as well as perform lab technician analysis.
- Maintain intermediate instrumentation in optimized and calibrated condition.
- Troubleshoots instrumental problems and basic maintenance of instrumentation.
- Perform sample, reagent and calibration standard preparation.
- Theoretical knowledge of GC’s and chromatography/spectroscopy.
- Report results for client samples.
- Verify and validate data.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
- Follow all SOPs and QC procedures.
- Meet quality assurance and turnaround time specifications.
- Other administrative/laboratory tasks as assigned.
- B.Sc. or Technical Diploma in Chemistry/Environmental Science preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain GC equipment.
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using MS office.
- Ability to work in a team environment and mentor other technician.
- Some lifting and carrying (up to 10kgs)
- Participate in on-call for weekends and evenings, shift runs 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Willing to work overtime during peak season.
