Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (Visual 9 preferred).
- Outstanding leadership skills with a high level of personal integrity
- Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
- A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
A typical day may include:
- Responsible for talent management and succession planning of direct team.
- Maintain and foster a safety-first culture.
- Ensure we are driving continuous improvement and performance results to metrics that can drive actions to improve efficiency and culture
- Improve our customers’ experience by reducing lead times, improving quality, and addressing the root cause of issues and complaints leading to permanent resolution.
- Ensures appropriate process controls to achieve targeted shipping and fulfillment dates.
- Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, sales forecast, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Direct the development and implementation of activities to reduce direct manufacturing costs
- Reduce aggregate inventories (including inventories of materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods) by meeting or exceeding inventory goals.
- Establish and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on product costs and overall margins. This includes overseeing equipment and capital improvements.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures.
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse with new layouts of racks, adding new products to valid locations, and removing obsolete or replaced items.
- Control all inventory levels by conducting physical cycle counts and reconciling data in the Visual ERP system.
- Identify overstock and obsolete material and initiate actions to deplete as a write-off.
- Assess and adjust target inventory levels, safety stock, and cycle stock.
- Schedule and assign employees to all needed work to complete warehouse duties. Crosstrain staff and follow up on all work results.
- Maintain communication with all departments including purchasing to continue a steady workflow to all departments. Maintain communication to management on all issues pertaining to GAL.
- Knowledge of Inventory Control and Shipping /Receiving Software.
- Day shifts, Monday to Friday
- Comfortable, climate-controlled office
