Senior Software Developer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Euna Payments development team. Our product supplies government agencies and utility companies with technology to make it easier for their constituents and customers to pay for services.

• Many years experience developing scalable backend solutions using an object oriented language (typically, seven years would be a minimum threshold)
• Deep understanding of system architecture and best design principles, their tradeoffs and best practices in its execution
• A proven track record of accurately assessing risk, the level of effort, and successfully committing to achieving major milestones of large-scale initiatives
• Experience with both functional and object-oriented programming
• Team experience with one or more Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
• Resourceful and comfortable working without complete information
• Ability to prioritize tasks and self manage
• Experience working with CI/CD systems
• Prior professional experience with either Rails or Elixir preferred
• Experience with embedded hardware systems preferred
  
  

What You Would Do

• Expand and set course the direction of our platform to best serve our customers, who are typically government agencies, through a highly available, scalable, reliable, and easy to implement architecture
• Help lead organization-wide initiatives to improve our software, infrastructure, tooling, and processes
• Contribute to our technical roadmap. This includes technical planning and ensuring relevant stakeholders have the context of items on our technical roadmap and how those items deliver value to our clients
• Efficiently create maintainable documentation to clearly communicate system design
• Promote best practices in design, development, maintenance, and security
• Mentor colleagues to facilitate their growth and improvement
• Provide peer code and design reviews to ensure high quality standards
