Agilus is recruiting for a Business Analyst in the Oil & Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The Data Governance Business Analyst is pivotal in shaping and maintaining the organization's data governance program. This role involves creating frameworks, delivering training, and ensuring effective communication of data policies. The ideal candidate will bridge technical data management and business operations to enhance data governance maturity.
A Typical Day
- Design and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Develop operating models, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
- Maintain documentation for policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and develop solutions.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and sessions.
- Assess regulatory impacts on data governance practices.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for governance controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data governance or related roles.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Experience in developing and delivering training sessions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Pay Rate: $50/hr.
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. 40hr/week.
- WFH: Wednesday and Friday (in office M/T/T)
