Senior System Analyst

ROLE

The Senior System Analyst role will be comfortable supporting ERP configuration, customization, and support, whilst understanding business process and reporting requirements – particularly in relation to construction processes, procurement, and reporting. They will support process implementation and support integration between ERP and operational platforms, as well as deliver user training and support for system changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure and customize ERP system (COINs) to align with business processes and requirements.
• Integrate ERP system with other systems to improve business processes and support automation first strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders or other system owners to gather and analyze business requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement solutions within the ERP system, including code writing and query writing, using ERP platform development tools.
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide training and support to end-users on ERP system functionalities for project implementation.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, customizations, and processes.
• Stay updated with the latest ERP system features and best practices.
• Implement information security best practices business-wide in order to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of company data, systems and infrastructure.
• Work with IT infrastructure team as needed to deploy and maintain ERP infrastructure.
• Support and maintain data within Data Governance and Information Security standards and best practices.
• Support ad hoc business analytics projects as required.

Note: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary degree in Business Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in system / ERP customization, or combination of experience in other configuring other system types
• Experience in COINs Construction Cloud is an asset but not required
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI and Power Automate, is an asset
• Experience working in a construction or industrial environment is an asset

Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced understanding of technology solutions and analytical principles
• Detailed knowledge and practical experience configuring systems, working with integration tools, and developing API integrations
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Working knowledge of ETL and data ingestion (API knowledge), including best practices and industry standards.
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Detail oriented, analytical, organized, and possess a strong work ethic, able to work under minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, results driven, able to work well under time constraints, and meet deadlines
• A strong desire to learn and ability to work well within a team

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is office based and works in our permanent location in Calgary, AB. Travel to job sites may be required on an ad hoc basis.

The Senior ERP Systems Analyst reports to the Business Systems Manager.
