The Opportunity

We are seeking a Client Manager. The Client Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting a designated portfolio of clients. The Client Manager will also undertake a range of accounting duties daily, whilst maintaining regular, open, and clear communication lines with their assigned clients. Shajani CPA’s Client Managers combine fresh and innovative thinking to complex tax problems and issues. Our primary goal is to add value to our clients and develop strong relationships based on trust and transparency with our clients.


What You Will Do

  • Work closely with our Partners to lead client engagements, and advise clients on planning opportunities, tax strategies, and compliance issues.
  • Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential and create a learning environment through leadership.
  • Manage a team that provides superior consultative tax advice to help our clients achieve tax savings.
  • Work with the team on business development opportunities.
  • Tax assignment preparation and completion
  • Apply an understanding of financial statements and their relevance to the tax function
  • Prepare and undertake client tax calculations that are accurate and comply with all legal requirements
  • Apply knowledge of relevant non-tax financial and business information
  • Conduct tax reviews of Audit and Enterprise clients, looking for tax issues and consultancy opportunities
  • Assist in formulating solutions to client -problems/issues as well as identifying value-added opportunities
  • Address any knowledge gaps through learning and adaptation as appropriate


What You Bring to The Role

  • 4+ years of experience in a public accounting firm, with experience in financial statement preparation, corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Relevant qualifications (Chartered Accountant) Completed, or a willingness to complete the CPA In-Depth tax course.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to clearly explain complex tax and business issues to clients.
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
  • Ability to research and write utilizing accounting technology and tools
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and executing on client engagements while acting as a trusted business advisor.
  • You should have demonstrated leadership skills and effective coaching
  • Strong Communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients, staff, and Partners
  • Self motivated with a high level of initiative – entrepreneurial mindset
