Sales Associate
Do you enjoy building and maintaining relationships and have experience in the life insurance/investment industry? We might have the perfect position for you!
As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for promoting investment products and services to independent financial advisors through the independent advisor’s network (MGA). You will also be responsible for developing business relationships with them as well as with the administrative staff of the MGA offices.

As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for promoting investment products and services to independent financial advisors through the independent advisor’s network (MGA). You will also be responsible for developing business relationships with them as well as with the administrative staff of the MGA offices.
More specifically, your key kesponsibilities will be:
- Work in close collaboration with our territory Sales Directors in developing a game plan to achieve sales objectives;
- Produce and deliver training to MGA advisors on iA products, sales concepts, and illustration software;
- Understand the business model of the advisors and Business Development Managers (BDMs);
- Develop/implement business plans to achieve sales objectives;
- Run portfolio recommendations;
- Prepare and drive sales campaigns on iA products;
- Solicit new business and maintain contact with advisors;
- Use CRM software to increase sales;
- Create and revise presentations using PowerPoint software;
- Hold regular touch points (in-person, virtual, phone, email, etc.) with the advisors assigned to you for prospection, reinforcement, and recognition;
- Propose, create, and share growth ideas and concepts;
- Attend planned conferences, road shows, presentations, and organized events for supporters during evening and weekend hours, as required;
- Ensure coordination with BDMs;
- Review sales reports for strategic prospecting.
- Experience in the individual insurance industry/brokerage environment;
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field;
- Good training skills: ability to lead, teach, coach, and motivate;
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people;
- Able to influence and motivate our business partners;
- Excellent organization and planning skills with a strong ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Excellent written communication skills;
- 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry;
- Knowledge of Salesforce (asset).
