Accountant

Our client is seeking an Accountant (Assurance & Accounting) to join their growing public accounting firm. This is a Direct Hire position.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze clients' financial records
• Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
• Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
• Prepare reports and audit findings
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
• Analyze financial documents and reports
• Examine accounting records
• Provide financial, business and tax advice
• Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits

Qualifications:

• 3 years' public accounting experience required (specifically serving private companies)
• Caseware and Taxprep experience a must
• Bookkeeping software an asset (Xero, Quickbooks, Simply Accounting, etc.)
• Adept with MS Office
• Solid interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills
