The IT Support Technician I will provide first-line technical support, assist with office administration, and manage IT equipment logistics. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The IT Support Technician I will provide first-line technical support, assist with office administration, and manage IT equipment logistics. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software, maintaining IT assets, and ensuring smooth operations. The role follows established procedures with normal supervision but requires problem-solving, attention to detail, and multitasking. Familiarity with Avetta corporate wide applications is preferred, with opportunities to improve processes and enhance IT efficiency.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues ensuring all new hires have fully operational hardware from day one.
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Install and update software applications.
- Maintain accurate asset (Hardware/Software) inventory and assist with ordering equipment.
- Assist with onboarding by setting up workstations and accounts.
- Coordinate with building security for existing/new hire employee access badges.
- Support basic printer, copier, and scanner troubleshooting.
- Maintain and update IT documentation.
- Manage meeting room equipment, setup, and troubleshooting. Support scheduling.
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming IT equipment and office supplies as needed.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments with proper labeling and tracking, coordinating with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized inventory of IT and office equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for office equipment repairs.
- Troubleshoot and escalate complex IT issues.
- 0-3 years of experience in IT or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle shipping tasks, including lifting moderate-weight packages.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with Windows, Mac, and Microsoft 365 is a plus.
- Certifications (preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cloud+, Okta, Talkdesk, Microsoft, HDI.
- Certifications (preferred) in one or more of the following: CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, Cloud +, Okta, Talkdesk, Microsoft, HDI
- 0-3 years of experience working in information technology
- Experience taking ownership of a given responsibility, improving it, and reporting on it.
