Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Superintendent, Strategic Planning & Analysis, you will be part of the Finance Department. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business and financials, accurately translating business improvement and operational efficiency gains in financial terms. You will provide data to support potential and actual value of improvement initiatives. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Determine business impact of various improvement initiatives from several internal clients including Mine Sites and Regional support teams
  • Ensure implementation of sustainable reporting on improvement initiatives while minimizing or avoiding additional work for Mine Sites
  • Critically review financial evaluations provided by others and ensure compliance with accepted practice
  • Advise project owners and key stakeholders on financial analysis of projects and improvement initiatives
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years accounting or financial analysis experience
  • Minimum 2 years Mining industry experience
  • Mixed background in operations, engineering, and/or finance preferred
  • Strong business sense with understanding of mining value drivers and key performance indicators
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and a track record of driving results
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate conclusions of analysis to different stakeholders
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Your Work Schedule

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Regional Offices. Occasional visits to site may also be required
