The Laboratory Student – SOP Standardization & Testing Support will assist in the development and standardization of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across multiple platforms. This role will also conduct laboratory testing on Petrifilm, allergen detection kits, and mycotoxins to support internal validation, product implementation, and training initiatives. The student will work closely with the Field Technical Services (FTS) team, Sales Specialists (SS), and the Service Center to optimize laboratory workflows and ensure consistency in testing protocols.

The Laboratory Student – SOP Standardization & Testing Support will assist in the development and standardization of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across multiple platforms. This role will also conduct laboratory testing on Petrifilm, allergen detection kits, and mycotoxins to support internal validation, product implementation, and training initiatives. The student will work closely with the Field Technical Services (FTS) team, Sales Specialists (SS), and the Service Center to optimize laboratory workflows and ensure consistency in testing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- SOP Standardization: Review, update, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab testing across different platforms.
- Laboratory Testing: Conduct routine testing using Petrifilm, Allergen detection kits, and Mycotoxin analysis to support internal projects and training initiatives
- Collaboration & Support: Work alongside the FTS and SS teams to ensure best practices are integrated into testing protocols and customer training materials.
- Service Center Support: Assist in troubleshooting and sample testing to support service-related inquiries.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of lab results, SOP updates, and procedural improvements.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Diploma program in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of microbiological and chemical testing methods.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
