This role will be part of the commercial team and will have two primary focus areas:
- Customer Service: The objective is to receive purchase orders from customers in the United States and Canada and to create, manage, and ultimately organize the delivery of sales orders using the ERP system (SAP). Managing communication with customers regarding the status of their orders is an important element of the role.
- Sales Support: Includes supporting the commercial team and customers where needed; internal coordination with larger support functions within the organization and/or other stakeholders to resolve issues, meet (information) requests from customers, or otherwise support the commercial team.
- Process customer orders efficiently and accurately by providing the customer confirmation notifications and communicating with customers if any additional or special requirement is needed.
- Performing order entry in the system includes entering the sales order, resolving potential issues with credit limits or pricing, pro forma invoice, packing list, delivery note, and shipping documents according to customers’ requirements to ensure on-time delivery.
- Inform customers of the planned arrival of their orders and provide regular shipment updates.
- Responsible for liaising and working closely with the warehouse provider, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and courier services to arrange outbound deliveries to customers and track and manage inbound shipments until goods receipt into the warehouse.
- Manage communication with customers around documentation requests, complaints, and any other inquiries, and involve the back office where needed to meet the customers’ expectations.
Required
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM (preferably Salesforce) and ERP (preferably SAP) applications.
