- Analyzing.
- Concepting and designing production machinery and solutions.
- Involvement the concepting phase to assist sales for solutions applications.
- Knowledge of a full range of motion methods (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
- Design for Manufacture / Maintenance understanding.
- 8+ years' experience in machine design of converting equipment or packaging machines, and have a few machines to your design credit
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with Software expertise
- Ability to conceive designs for their movement, translation and processing of paper products and all types of packaged goods.
- Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, pressure, force as related to machine designs
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine shape, dimensions, hardness in the development of equipment, processes, and products
- Proficiency using Motion Analyzer software is an asset.
- Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 25% of the time
- Self-motivated and disciplined to time commitments while working on multiple projects
- Knowledge of estimating is an asset
- Located within 45 minutes of our office (Brantford) is preferred
