Purpose of Role: The HR Generalist is responsible for tasks relating to talent acquisition, policy and compliance, employee questions, training development, and WBS (Weir Business Solutions) support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR Guidance: Offer HR support in areas such as policy/procedure interpretation/application, employee questions, and management support with process and best practices.
  • Manage Files and Documents: Create, maintain and track critical department documents including job descriptions, SOPs etc.
  • WBS Support: Assist WBS with open tickets relating to talent acquisition, Workday task completion, and preparation/creation of requested templates
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Special projects as assigned including but not limited to, local HR process development, policy research, and presentation creation.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-2 years of HR generalist experience
  • Knowledge of HR practice and legislation in multiple provinces

Compensation: $65,000-70,000 per year, prorated for the 6 month duration of the contract.
