Role: Inside Technical Sales Representative

The Opportunity

Joining the in-office inside sales team, you’ll support the full sales cycle by acting as the first point of contact for client inquiries and providing tailored, technical solutions. You will take ownership of the CRM updates and pipeline tasks to help maintain the integrity of the sales process. This role requires someone with a technical background that enjoys solving problems and delivering precise and responsive solutions and support to customers.


You will work closely with and report to the Technical Sales Manager, a collaborative leader who will guide your technical training and help build your expertise with product knowledge and solution development. From handling initial inquiries to configuring solutions and supporting post-sale service, you’ll be at the centre of the client experience.


Key Responsibilities

As an Inside Technical Sales Representative, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

Technical Sales & Client Solutions

  • Act as the first point of contact for all client inquiries via phone, email and web forms.
  • Learn and apply the company’s instrumentation and signal-based product knowledge to build accurate quotes.
  • Conduct calls to understand client needs in order to propose innovative and tailored solutions.
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and follow-up with customers after orders close to ensure utmost satisfaction
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers by phone or email to cultivate additional business.

After-Sales Support

  • Support post-sale requests, including recalibration, repairs, and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Join diagnostic calls to train on troubleshooting and assist with ongoing technical support.

Pipeline & Process Management

  • Enter and maintain detailed records in the CRM system, ensuring real-time updates across the sales process.
  • Monitor and manage quote follow-ups, pipeline stages, and sales order creation
  • Ensure timely updates to quotes, sales orders, and client communications.



Qualifications

As an Inside Technical Sales Representative, you will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or sales support, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or technical sales.
  • Technical diploma or certificate in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field; an engineering degree is a strong asset.
  • Technical aptitude, with the ability to understand various products and services.
  • Outgoing and persuasive, with a natural ability to build rapport and secure trust with decision-makers
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications, including CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
