CHALLENGES WE OFFER

  • Reporting to the Feed Production Manager, your duties include:
  • Receiving calls for and confirming customer orders by phone, SMS or in person specifying feed type, additives, quantity, and delivery date;
  • Acting as back up to the sales team by providing accurate product knowledge to customers and accurate feedback to the sales team to ensure order accuracy;
  • Preparing required documentation (packing slips, work orders, production schedules, feed tags, etc.) to initiate production and delivery of customer and retail co-op orders;
  • Receiving and distributing new formulations for feed changes;
  • Preparing production schedule to maximize production/delivery efficiencies;
  • Managing office petty cash. Reconciling all transactions at the end of each period and submit check request to replenish;
  • Reviewing and analyzing bulk inventory on a daily basis, ordering commodities based on the production requirements;
  • Keeping account of everything ordered and providing accurate information to appropriate personnel (especially receivers);
  • Entering receiving documents (bagged and bulk) into operating software and sending over to accounts receivable on a daily basis;
  • Assisting in all areas of the feed mill office where requires.

You Fit The Following Profile

  • You possess a post-secondary education with customer service experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience;
  • You have a positive attitude with a passion for excellent customer service;
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • You show great attention to detail and have the ability to work with figures;
  • You have good computer literacy including competency with Microsoft Office, more specifically with Excel/Word;
  • You have the knowledge and ability to perform basic office and account maintenance functions;
  • Previous farm experience and/or bilingualism would be considered asse.
