Responsibilities
This is a rare and unique opportunity to join a leading single-family office with an entrepreneurial vision. Responsibilities
- Oversee finance and accounting functions for private and public investment holdings
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including reconciliations and controlling
- Handle treasury operations, including cash flow management
- Develop and document scalable internal controls and processes
- Produce real-time portfolio performance reports and management reporting (monthly and quarterly)
- Support personal and corporate tax planning for the family office and its entities
- Coordinate with external advisors (accountants, lawyers, investment advisors) on compliance and strategic matters
- Participate in financial due diligence for investment opportunities
- Contribute to philanthropy planning and other long-term initiatives
- Manage administrative duties as needed
- Manage and potentially hire administrative or accounting staff as the office grows
- Lead special projects as required
- CPA, CA, or equivalent designation
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a controller or in a similar role
- Strong preference for candidates with personal and private company accounting and tax experience
- Experience in finance and accounting, with a strong understanding of asset allocation and estate planning
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and high volumes of work with accuracy and effectiveness.
- Experience working in high-performing environments, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn from top professionals
- Assurance experience is an asset
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
