MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Electrification Planning and Regulatory Lead for one of BC’s largest utility companies.

Location: Dunsmuir, BC | Hybrid or Remote


Contract duration: 10 months (at least 6 months full time)


Responsibilities:


  • Lead planning, regulatory, and decision-support activities for the electrification programs
  • Prepare regulatory filings and reports for submission to the BC Utilities Commission and government
  • Support internal decision-making on program extensions, transitions, budgets, and resourcing
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts and align program activities with strategic objectives
  • Engage with internal leadership and external government stakeholders as needed


Requirements:


  • Minimum 11 years of directly related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of utility regulatory frameworks and compliance
  • Proven ability to support executive decision-making with strategic analysis
  • Experience preparing regulatory applications and reports


Nice to Haves:


  • Experience in the energy utility sector
  • Experience with Energy utility programs that promote energy efficiency or electrification among utility customers
  • Experience with Regulatory applications and reports by regulated entities in energy, telecommunications or other field
