SAP Testing and Deployment Lead:

On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a SAP Testing and Deployment Lead for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.


SAP Testing and Deployment Lead - Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Testing and Deployment Lead to manage the testing and deployment phases of SAP implementation or upgrade projects. This role involves defining the testing strategy, coordinating with business and technical teams, and leading deployment planning to ensure a smooth transition to production.


SAP Testing and Deployment Lead - Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the overall SAP testing strategy and plan, covering various testing phases.
• Coordinate creation and maintenance of test scripts, test data, and test environments.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to identify test requirements.
• Lead defect triage meetings and track issue resolution.
• Develop and execute deployment strategies and cutover plans.
• Oversee pre-deployment readiness checks and post-deployment verification activities.
• Manage go-live support plans and transition to production support teams.
  
  
  

SAP Testing and Deployment Lead - Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in SAP projects, with at least 3 years in a test/deployment leadership role.
• Deep understanding of SAP modules and integration points.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations or implementations.
• Strong knowledge of testing tools such as SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, JIRA.
• Experience managing testing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  
  

SAP Testing and Deployment Lead – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• SAP Activate or SAP S/4HANA certification.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
