Business Development Director

Serenia Life Financial has nearly a century of experience offering life insurance and wealth accumulation products to Canadians. As part of the Broker Support Network, your role will involve playing a key part in achieving the growth goals set by the organization. We are on the lookout for a candidate in the Alberta or British Columbia provinces with an entrepreneurial spirit, who follows a strategic plan and has a history of collaborating with advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage your assigned sales territory, including the identification of growth opportunities to increase Serenia Life’s footprint across Canada
• Develop strong personal relationships at both the Managing General Agency (MGA) and independent advisor level, understanding their businesses, unique challenges, and how to best support their businesses
• Continuously seek and propose innovative solutions to improve service delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Implement effective sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets, enhancing the distribution of insurance products within the region.
• Provide training, coaching, mentorship, and business development support for advisors and MGAs
• Deliver presentations to advisors on sales concepts, market conditions, and product updates

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the life insurance industry, with a proven and demonstrated track record of sales success
• Strong presentation, training and business planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand advisors’ needs and support their growth objectives
• Strong industry knowledge, including products, insurance carrier, and MGA distribution model
• Ability to diagnose insurance portfolio problems and construct creative solutions
• LLQP licensed

Nice to haves:

• CFP or CLU designations
• Experience within the independent life insurance channel
