We’re looking for a dynamic HR Manager to lead HR operations at our Delta, BC manufacturing site, where we produce our industry-leading meat-free products. This isn’t your average HR gig—you’ll be the heartbeat of the plant, partnering directly with site leadership, hourly teams, and union representatives to drive a safe, engaging, and high-performance culture. You’ll also get to flex your strategic muscles by supporting company-wide initiatives and tapping into the broader Hain HR network.



What You’ll Own:

  • Daily HR leadership on the plant floor—supporting 120+ employees across shifts
  • Employee relations, coaching, and performance management in a unionized setting
  • Working in collaboration with corporate center of excellence on Talent Acquisition, develop recruitment strategy to include innovative solutions to ensure a steady pipeline of talent for skilled and unskilled positions in a highly competitive market.
  • Driving engagement, culture, and retention programs
  • Supporting talent development, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Partnering with union reps and navigating the collective agreement with confidence
  • Ensuring HR compliance and safety support while championing DEI and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with global HR colleagues to bring fresh thinking and best practices
  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies, training and procedures
  • Administering WCB (Workers Compensation Board) claims, including completion of forms, maintaining records, preparing and communicating modified work proposals and acting as a liaison with the WCB


Requirements:

This Role Is For You If You Have:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or operations setting
  • Experience working in a unionized environment—you know the dynamics, and you lead with fairness and trust
  • A hands-on approach and love being close to the people you support (yes, you’ll be in the plant daily!)
  • A calm, practical mindset with a bias for action
  • The ability to balance boots-on-the-ground HR work with broader strategy


Bonus Points If You Also Have:

  • Experience in food manufacturing or CPG
  • HR certifications (CPHR, SHRM, etc.)
  • Experience with Workday
  • A passion for purpose-driven business, sustainability, and doing good

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $82,000-$102,000 / year (commensurate with experience and location).
