What You’ll Like About This Job

Vale Base Metals is hiring certified heavy equipment mechanics for its Stobie Open Pit operation in Sudbury, ON. Working on a 7-on/7-off rotation, this role covers diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of underground mobile equipment in a mining environment. Candidates must hold a recognized trade certificate and have experience with hydraulic and 24 VDC systems.

What You’ll Need

• Valid trade certification: 421A, 310S, 310T, or 425A
• Minimum Grade 12 or GED
• Experience with hydraulic systems, 24 VDC control wiring, and mobile equipment brakes
• Strong safety record and willingness to work rotating shifts
  
  

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Background in open-pit or underground mining maintenance
• Welding experience (non-pressure)
• Ability to troubleshoot both electric and hydraulic systems in the field
• Strong teamwork and communication in high-stakes environments
