What You’ll Like About This Job

FortisBC is seeking skilled equipment operators for gas distribution work in Burnaby, BC. This full-time position involves pipe installation, shallow excavation, and support for system repairs using backhoes, mini excavators, and related machinery. Hands-on training is provided in gas operations, safety, and emergency response, making this a strong career-growth opportunity.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 or GED
• Class 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Proficiency in operating backhoes and shallow excavation equipment
• Safe work habits and clean driving record
• Ability to lift, bend, and work outdoors in all weather
  
  

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Gasfitter (B ticket or higher)
• Welding experience or certification
• Experience in utility-based construction or gas system installation
• Ability to work on-call and travel as required
