Senior Performance Test Engineer ( 6 Month Contract)

Duties And Responsibilities

Performance Testing & Analysis:

• Analyze business requirements and system architecture to identify performance risks.
• Design, develop, and execute performance tests (load, stress, endurance, scalability, and spike testing).
• Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Neoload for automation.
• Develop and execute API performance tests for backend validation.
  
  

Automation & CI/CD Integration

• Implement automated performance test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
• Utilize cloud-based performance testing solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Develop data-driven performance testing techniques using various input sources (databases, CSV, APIs).
• Work with APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics to monitor and analyze system performance.
  
  

Defect Management & Reporting

• Track and analyze performance issues, working closely with developers for resolution.
• Maintain test documentation including test plans, scripts, execution logs, and reports
• Provide trend analysis and recommendations based on test results
  
  

Collaboration & Best Practices

• Work with development and DevOps teams to optimize system performance.
• Establish and follow best practices for performance testing and automation
• Assist in developing guidelines for test automation and cloud-based performance validation
  
  

Reporting Relationships

• The Senior Performance Test Engineer reports directly to the Manager, Software Quality Assurance
  
  

Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON

Hybrid – At least 2 days onsite weekly

This Role is a 6 month contract

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  
  

Knowledge & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing & Automation.
• Expertise in JMeter, LoadRunner, Neo load, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience in API performance testing and automation.
• Experience with cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Java, PowerShell, or Shell scripting).
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dynamics CRM, or other healthcare applications.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, and other healthcare compliance standards.
