Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Applications Engineer to join our team and support technical and commercial activities within the municipal and industrial water treatment markets. You will play a key role in developing customized equipment upgrade solutions, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting capital sales efforts. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, water treatment technologies, and project bidding processes.

Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Applications Engineer to join our team and support technical and commercial activities within the municipal and industrial water treatment markets. You will play a key role in developing customized equipment upgrade solutions, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting capital sales efforts. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, water treatment technologies, and project bidding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and technically sound solutions to upgrade customer systems based on site-specific needs.
- Collaborate closely with Sales teams, customers, and engineering consultants to assess existing infrastructure, identify constraints, and design appropriate solutions.
- Prepare accurate and detailed technical proposals and cost estimates by reviewing specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Determine scope in coordination with commercial and engineering teams and provide clear documentation for internal and customer use.
- Estimate material, assembly, commissioning, and freight costs using vendor data, catalogues, and historical information.
- Support Supply Chain with project schedules and forecasting.
- Maintain up-to-date records on equipment specifications and cost data.
- Participate in contract kickoff meetings and ensure smooth project handover to the execution teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and best practices across global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role supporting equipment or solution sales, ideally in the water treatment industry.
- Solid understanding of specifications, design documents, and the transition from concept through to commissioning.
- Knowledge of ultrafiltration membranes or other water treatment technologies is an asset.
- Familiarity with P&IDs, electrical single-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
- Hands-on or field experience with water treatment systems is highly desirable.
