Status: Permanent, Full-Time

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations and ensuring the efficient functioning of all equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance techniques, and supervisory skills to lead a team of skilled technicians.

YOUR ROLE

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for their roles.
  • Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and support continuous operations.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in budget preparation for maintenance activities and manage expenditures to remain within budget.

YOUR ASSETS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial millwright License or mechanical trade certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a feed mill or similar environment.
  • Dual trade ticket with Electrical license (Asset)
  • Safety Training including first aid, fall arrest, and confined spaces (Asset)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.

YOUR WORK CONDITIONS

  • Full-time position with standard working hours; may require overtime during peak periods.
  • Work is performed in an industrial setting, with exposure to machinery and noise.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces.
  • Requires physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
