We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Commissioning Agent to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to design specifications and operational requirements. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to deliver high-performance building systems that meet quality and sustainability standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Review mechanical design documents, specifications, and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, checklists, and functional performance tests.
  • Perform site inspections and witness equipment start-up, testing, and balancing.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and facility managers to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Document commissioning activities and prepare detailed reports and turnover packages.
  • Support LEED or other sustainability certification processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols on all job sites.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems, or related equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical commissioning, HVAC systems, or building services.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE/CSA commissioning guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • CxA, BCxA, or other commissioning certification.
  • Experience with energy modeling, building automation systems (BAS), or data center environments.
  • Knowledge of LEED commissioning requirements.
  • Previous local work experience.
