Full-time (12-month) position. This position supports both Community & Continuing Education and Burnaby Online, located at Burnaby North Secondary.

The Student Information System Operator enters and manipulates data using a specialized software program to maintain school and student information, records and a variety of reports. They must be well organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy, able to meet demanding and multiple deadlines and ensure a high level of confidentiality. They also perform a variety of general clerical duties.

Successful Applicants Must Have

  • Courses in computer operation or database management applications, including MS Access plus four years related work experience or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
  • Typing speed minimum of 55 wpm net.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer operation and software applications related to work performed.
  • Thorough knowledge of office procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
