About The Role

We are immediately hiring an experienced Foreman to support the delivery of an ongoing project in downtown Vancouver.

Role Description

Reporting directly to the Site Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to lead a small team which will work on a new ground-up development. Day-to-day, you will coordinate with site leadership, project management, and trades/subcontractors to complete tasks as required by the project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day tasks as required by the Site Superintendent
• Communicate between leadership and on-site teams to ensure each step of the project is being completed as desired
• Review scope of work and project schedules and delivery on deadlines
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and trades to complete tasks as required by the schedule
• Support the Superintendent in scheduling manpower and equipment as necessary
• Perform hands on tasks and lead a small team on the tools
• Ensure all safety standards are met and deadlines are reached while operating within safety guidelines
• Ensure all environmental regulations are adhered to throughout the construction process
• Support development and training of crew members
  
  
  

Skills And Requirements

• Experience leading a small crew on new-build construction project
• High attention to detail in completing drywalling and interior construction
• Ability to communicate effectively between project management, site leadership, and subcontractors/trades
• Desire to see projects through to completion
• Strong understanding of construction and ability to be on the tools in a team lead capacity
• Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints, and communicate critical information to site teams
• Desire to continue developing as a construction leader
